First Kiss

It was raining outside. Ana was sitting in front of her computer in her bedroom. But her thoughts were not there. They have traveled so far away. It was in the place where she met Mr. K for the first time. In a coffee shop, second floor at Aksara, Kemang on February 2nd, 2009, at lunch time. A charming man in magenta shirt and blue jeans was sitting near the window. His long blonde hair was pulled back. He looked busy with his laptop.

Ana didn’t know him. She had never seen his face before but, strangely, she was certain that it was him ... the man she was supposed to meet that afternoon. Yes, Ana managed to meet her cyber friend. But, is it really him? Ana was so sure that he was that man. She knew, maybe it was a gamble. She had met this man online but had never seen a clear picture of him. Somehow, though, she knew that this was the right man.

Ana smiled and came to his table. The man waved his hand, smiled, and then stood up from his seat. Her heart was beating fast when they were close. It’s not date, she told herself, it’s just meeting a new friend, but oh, how his smile was distracting.

“Are you Mr. K?” Ana asked, a bit nervous.
“Yes, that’s right,” said Mr. K in polite tone.

Ana didn’t shake his hand but she moved her face forward and let him kiss her cheek.
“Ohhh…silly…what I am doing?” Ana just realized what she had done.

In fact, Ana had never before allowed a man to kiss her cheek at the first meeting, but with this man it was different. It was her first experience. Her face turned red when he kissed her cheek softly. It felt like there was electricity flowing in her blood. Ohhh…. it was strange feeling. She knows, kissing cheek is not something strange, it’s common, but what is it? She felt a strange sensation when his face touched her cheek.

Both of them then sat down. Waiter came to their table.

"Would you two like to order something?”asked the waiter, in a friendly manner.

Ana ordered a cup of cappuccino, while Mr. K ordered a cup of black coffee and tuna sandwich. Once again, they smiled when their eyes met. They then talked about many things; Mr. K’s new book, his job, Ana’s job, places where Ana and Mr. K usually go to hangout, trafficking, their hobbies, and other topics. They talked for about 3 to 5 hours but they didn’t feel tired. For Ana, having a conversation with smart and fun person like Mr. K is one of her favorite things to do. Ufff, time felt too fast that afternoon. Mr. K needed to return to his apartment, but before he left, he offered to accompany Ana to her destination.

After pay the bill, they got out from the cafĂ©. It was raining outside. Mr. K took out his umbrella and then walked beside Ana. He stopped a taxi and gave her ride to Pasar Festival, Kuningan. Ana and Mr. K got out from the taxi. Once again Ana’s face turned red when Mr. K gave her goodbye kissed on her cheek. That kissed felt so soft. “Ah…sweet stranger, I’ll always miss your kiss until we meet again….” said Ana in her heart. KiSS….KISS...KISS…yeah, that warm KISS….
